Last night at training I was talking about Lower Crossed Syndrome - a condition where there is an imbalance in muscular function in the hip. ( hip flexors, hamstrings, glutes etc )
This is a common problem in cyclists as we are riding bent over all the time ( and even people sitting at work alot ). Its interesting that speedskaters suffer from similar problems as they also skate in a bent over position and have similar muscle useage as cyclists.
There is a good little youtube video from speedskating USA on how to prevent this:
There are also other good videos on the channel about preconditioning core work and proper deadlift technique.
Have fun with this!
