ABA/CC/UCI Regulations

As always review the ABA/CC/UCI regulations found on the Alberta Bicycle Association (ABA) website. Here's some quick links related to the road:

TL;DR

Wheel Cars

Service vehicles are under the exclusive direction of commissaires; any wheels and/or service provided is neutral. Following vehicles at the service of individual teams or riders are not permitted. In addition, as per UCI 2.12.007 (4.7), “sheltering behind or taking advantage of the slipstream of a vehicle” is not permitted.

Refer to section 2.6.6 of the 2021 ABA regulations document.

Race Numbers

Each racer is assigned a Race Number to be used throughout the year. All racers that have already acquired their number must use it for this race. Failing to bring your personal race number to this event will result in a fine of $10 (CASH) to help cover the cost of a replacement number. There are no exceptions to this rule. Make sure to check that you have your numbers well before your start time.

Rider Conduct

Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated, including but not limited to public urination, littering, use of profane language and verbal abuse of officials.

Anti-Doping Rule Violation

The ABA complies with and fully supports the UCI anti-doping regulations, the clauses of the World Anti-Doping Code and its international standards to which the UCI anti-doping regulations refer and to the anti-doping regulations of other competent bodies as per the regulations of the UCI.
