Race Headquarter - Graminia Hall

Headquarters for the event will be Gramina Hall. Washrooms are available inside, with outhouses near the parking area.

Race Package Pickup

Race package pickup & sign-on will open at 09:30 inside Graminia Hall

Race Timing Chip

The race timing chip will be secured to your handlebars (not your fork, not your saddle). Failure to do wrap your timing chip strap around your handlebars is subject to fines.

If you are racing the Sunday Criterium, DO NOT RETURN YOUR TIMING CHIP UNTIL THE CONCLUSION OF YOUR RACE ON SUNDAY.

If you are only racing the Saturday Road Race, we expect you to return your timing chip to the Race Package Pickup located in the ABA tent of the parking paddock. Surrender your numbered chip to the numbered chip curtain, securing your chip to its correct numbered location.

Number Placement

Two jersey numbers and a frame plate.

Number placement on the jersey is on the right shoulder and lower back.

Vehicles

No team or unauthorized following vehicles are permitted in the road race.

Commissaire Vehicles

There will be a Commissaire vehicle with race radio following each category of the race.

Wheel Vehicles

Wheels added to the wheel vehicle are neutral. That means another rider might borrow your wheel. Best to indicate category, bib number, and type of cassette (gears, Shimano/campy).

Drop your spare wheels off in the respective ability level’s wheel car. The wheel cars will be parked just outside Graminia Hall and can be loaded up to five minutes before your race starts.

Wheel cars will return to the hall parking lot once your race has completed. Please remember to collect your wheels!

Refer to the ABA regulations if you have any questions.

First Aid & Emergency Services

An ambulance and several paramedics will be on the course. The nearest hospital is the Devon General Hospital.

Feed Zone

We will be following UCI feed zone regulations: “Feeding is prohibited on climbs, descents and during the first 30 and last 20 km”.

The feed zone has been placed on Sanctuary Road (RR-264) 800 metres south of the finish line. The feed zone is approximately 200m in length and it will be marked with the green feed zone flags. Refer to the distance table above for your categories feed laps.

Instructions To Feeders & Team Support

Feeders must keep vehicles completely off the road surface, including the shoulder. Race organizers and local residents will not tolerate any litter or waste left behind.

Instructions To Racers

Bottles and trash are only to be discarded in the feed zones. Failure to abide will result in fines.

There is a sprint section located on Range Road 265. On your races final lap, the fastest rider in the 300m sprint section will be awarded the $25 prime. To be clear, this is not the first rider to cross the sprint finish, it is the fastest rider in the 300m section (…just like Zwift). We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the sprint location either on the map or by paying attention on your initial lap(s).

Finish Line

The finish line is a false flat approximately 300m south of TWP-512A on Sanctuary Road (RR-264).

The finishing sprint must not cross the imaginary centre line. You will run the risk of being relegated or disqualified should you violate the centre line rule.

At the conclusion of your race, proceed with extreme care when returning to Graminia Hall as a race may still be going on behind you.
